Please Help Us Provide Essential Mobility and Safety for a Child with Complex Medical Needs
We are currently seeking funding to provide a specialist rehabilitation stroller for a young child living with multiple complex medical conditions.
The child has significant neurological and medical needs, including epilepsy, hydrocephalus, a rare chromosome disorder, and severe swallowing difficulties. Due to these challenges, a standard pushchair or buggy is simply not suitable or safe.
Following professional assessment, it has been identified that the child requires a highly specialised rehabilitation stroller that can provide the postural support, positioning, and safety features necessary for everyday life.
The recommended equipment includes advanced seating and support systems designed to help maintain a safe and comfortable position, reduce the risk of injury during seizures, support breathing and swallowing, and allow the child to participate more fully in family and community activities.
Unlike standard buggies, specialist rehabilitation strollers are individually configured to meet a child's specific medical needs. They often include custom seating, head and trunk supports, safety harnesses, tilt-in-space functions, and other clinical adaptations that can significantly improve comfort, safety, and quality of life.
The estimated cost of the required package is approximately **£5,000**.
For this family, the stroller would provide far more than transport. It would offer greater safety during outings, improved comfort for the child, and the opportunity for the whole family to enjoy everyday activities with greater confidence and independence.
We are therefore appealing for support to help us fund this essential piece of equipment and make a meaningful difference to a child's daily life.
Every donation, no matter how large or small, brings us one step closer to providing the specialist support this child urgently needs.
Thank you for helping us continue to bring smiles, independence, and opportunities to children and families facing extraordinary challenges.
A £5,000 specialist stroller isn't really a stroller; it's safety, independence, and the ability for a family to leave the house.

Help Us Create a Safe Garden Retreat for a Family Facing the Unimaginable
We are seeking support to help transform a small garden into a safe and welcoming outdoor space for a family facing extraordinary challenges.
The family has two young children, aged four and six. Their eldest child has been diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma and, following a recent relapse, the family is now preparing for the possibility of palliative care.
Throughout this difficult journey, the children's grandparents have been a constant source of love, support, and comfort. However, the grandparents themselves are facing significant health challenges. The grandmother is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, while the grandfather is living with Alzheimer's disease.
Despite these difficulties, the grandparents' home remains a special place where the family can spend precious time together.
We are hoping to create a safe, secure and child-friendly garden where the children can play, relax, and enjoy valuable moments with their parents and grandparents. The project will include garden improvements, a storage shed, sensory and play equipment, and the creation of a safe outdoor environment suitable for the family's needs.
Because the six-year-old child is immunocompromised, opportunities to socialise and play safely with other children are extremely limited. A dedicated outdoor space would provide a secure environment where both children can enjoy fresh air, play, and simply be children while surrounded by the people who love them most.
Most importantly, this project will help create opportunities for the family to spend quality time together and make lasting memories during an incredibly challenging period in their lives.
We are committed to contributing between **£2,000 and £3,000** towards this project, but we need your help to make it a reality.
Whether through donations, fundraising, donated materials, or practical assistance, every contribution will help us create a space filled with laughter, comfort, and precious family moments.
Together, we can provide a place where a family can focus less on illness and more on making memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you for helping us bring hope, comfort, and smiles to children and families when they need it most.
A garden project isn't just a shed and some play equipment; it's a place where a little boy with relapsed cancer can spend precious time with his family and grandparents.

Providing a Specialist Buggy for a Young Child with Autism
We are currently seeking funding to provide a specialist adaptive buggy for a young child living with Autism and Hypermobility.
For many families, a simple walk to the park or a trip to the shops is something they take for granted. However, for children with additional needs, everyday outings can be physically exhausting, emotionally overwhelming, and sometimes unsafe.
This young child experiences significant challenges due to her Autism and Hypermobility. As a result, longer journeys and community outings can be difficult, often limiting opportunities for family activities, social interaction, and access to the wider community.
To help overcome these challenges, professionals have recommended a specialist Ergoadaptive buggy. Unlike a standard pushchair, this type of equipment is specifically designed to support children with additional needs, providing greater comfort, security, and postural support while enabling families to travel more safely and confidently.
The buggy would help reduce physical strain, provide a secure and familiar environment during outings, and allow the child to access activities that many families enjoy every day. Most importantly, it would help ensure that she can continue to participate in family life and experience the world around her in a safe and comfortable way.
The total cost of the specialist buggy package is approximately **£3,499**.

For this family, this is far more than a piece of equipment. It is a lifeline that will help maintain independence, reduce daily challenges, and create opportunities for positive experiences that many of us take for granted.
We are appealing for support to help us fund this essential item and make a lasting difference to a young child's quality of life.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to providing the specialist support this child needs.
Thank you for helping us continue to bring smiles, opportunities, and brighter futures to children and families across the UK.
A £3,500 adaptive buggy isn't just equipment; it's inclusion and access to everyday life.

We are currently seeking support for two children in urgent need of such devices:
• Matvii (aged 9)
Matvii has been diagnosed with autism (February 2026) and is currently awaiting an ADHD assessment. As he has grown older, he has experienced increasing difficulties with communication, which has also led to recent behavioural challenges.
He requires a Via Mini 8, at a cost of £2,516.83
This device provides Bowie with an effective and reliable way to communicate his wants and needs. It is already supporting his development, helping him progress towards forming words more clearly, and has made a meaningful difference both at home and in school.
• Bowie (aged 6), from Stratford-upon-Avon
Bowie has Autism Spectrum Disorder and experiences significant difficulties with speech. He struggles to pronounce words clearly, making it extremely challenging for others to understand him.
He requires an AAC Device – Liberator Nova Chat 8, at a cost of £3,215.50
This device would help Bowie to communicate and express himself more effectively, particularly when he struggles to find words. In addition, it would also support his speech development by helping to correct mispronunciations, enabling others to understand him more easily and reducing frustration.
The total cost for both devices is £5,732.33

Wilson Stuart School in Erdington, Birmingham, an outstanding Special Educational Needs (SEN) school supporting children and young people aged 2 to 19 with complex physical, medical, and learning needs.
The school provides a highly individualised, inclusive learning environment delivered by an exceptionally skilled and committed staff team.
Whilst on a visit to the school, we observed specialist classrooms and therapy spaces and saw equipment previously funded by our charity and various supporters already in daily use.
Witnessing the direct and meaningful impact of this support reinforced both the value of the school’s work and the continued need for further specialist resources.
During discussions with senior staff, three priorities were identified as making the most immediate and meaningful difference to pupils’ safety, wellbeing, and access to education and therapy.
Equipment Requested

1. Hillrom Golvo 9000 Mobile Lift – £8,553
Many pupils require full or partial assistance with transfers due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, genetic syndromes, and severe physical disabilities. Pupils frequently need support moving safely between wheelchairs, specialist seating, therapy equipment, hygiene facilities, and occasionally from the floor.
The Hillrom Golvo 9000 Mobile Lift provides a safe, dignified, and comfortable solution. Its vertical lifting motion and compatible slings allow transfers to be completed smoothly, significantly reducing distress for pupils and manual handling risks for staff. As a mobile unit, it can be used across multiple areas of the school, benefiting many pupils and representing excellent value for money.
2. Cosmo Learning System – £1,558.80
The Cosmo Learning System is an interactive, multi-sensory learning and therapy resource designed for children with a wide range of SEN. It combines illuminated Cosmo Dots with a flexible app-based learning platform offering activities co-designed with teachers and therapists.
The system supports the development of cognitive, motor, communication, social, and emotional skills and can be used in both one-to-one and small-group sessions. Adjustable sensitivity ensures accessibility for pupils with varying physical and cognitive abilities, while immediate visual feedback builds confidence, engagement, and understanding of cause and effect.

3. Standard Spotting Decks (Two Units) they cost £1,996.60 per unit x two £3,991.20
Rebound therapy has been embedded within Wilson Stuart School’s practice for many years and continues to deliver significant physical, sensory, and emotional benefits. Recent updates to training guidance now require three members of staff to facilitate sessions safely, which would significantly reduce pupil access.
The addition of two standard spotting decks, positioned either side of the trampoline, would allow rebound therapy to continue safely with existing staffing levels. The spotting decks provide essential impact protection and stability, safeguarding pupils while enabling more learners to access this vital therapeutic provision throughout the week.
UPDATEWe have now purchased the Standard Spotting Decks
The total cost of the requested equipment is £14,103.00.

Safe Bed for Theo
Theo is a nine‑year‑old boy from Richmond, Sheffield.
He was diagnosed at birth with Down’s syndrome, a genetic condition caused by an extra copy of chromosome 21, which affects physical development, muscle tone, learning, and safety awareness. Theo also has sleep apnoea, resulting in disrupted sleep and frequent night‑time waking.
Due to limited awareness of danger and restless sleep behaviours, Theo requires a secure, enclosed sleeping environment to remain safe. At present, he remains in a standard cot, as a conventional bed cannot meet his needs. As Theo turns 10 this year, this arrangement is no longer appropriate or sustainable
Theo has been assessed by his therapist, who has confirmed that a specialist enclosed bed is essential to:
Keep Theo safe during sleep - Reduce the risk of injury or night‑time incidents- Support improved sleep quality - Reduce anxiety and exhaustion for his parents
Without this intervention, Theo remains at ongoing risk during the night, and his family continues to experience significant disruption and concern.
It is recommended that Theo is provided with a Safe & Sound Mini Bed, manufactured by Creative Care Ltd. This is a permanent, fixed single bed designed specifically for children with complex needs.

Features & Benefits
Fully enclosed, soft padded sides with a zero‑entrapment mattress system - High sides (1.7m–2m) to prevent climbing or falling - Roll‑up access door with viewing panel and additional side window - Integral enclosed mattress with wipe‑clean, waterproof or bite‑resistant materials - Anti‑bacterial finishes supporting hygiene and infection control - eight‑adjustable base to support safer transfers and age‑appropriate bed height
Together, these features will provide Theo with a calm, secure sleeping environment, allowing his parents to discreetly monitor his breathing due to his sleep apnoea without disturbing his rest.
The provision of this specialist bed will:
Improve Theo’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing - Reduce the risk of injury during sleep - Promote better sleep quality for Theo - Reduce physical and emotional strain on his parents - Enable a dignified transition from a cot to an age‑appropriate bed
The impact will be immediate and long‑term, supporting both Theo’s development and his family’s wellbeing.
Project Budget
Safe & Sound Mini Bed £ 4,310.00
Anti‑bacterial lacquer treatment £ 212.00
Netting roof & clear PVC £ 160.00
Delivery & installation £ 275.00
Subtotal £ 4,957.00
VAT (Delivery and Installation only) £ 55.00
Total Project Cost £ 5,012.00

Safe-Space Bed for Skyler
We are seeking funding to support Skyler, a five-year-old girl from Burbage, Leicestershire, who lives with multiple complex neurodevelopmental conditions that place her at significant risk of injury during the night. Skyler has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Pica. Together, these conditions severely affect her ability to understand danger, regulate her behaviour, process sensory input, and sleep safely without constant supervision.
Skyler wakes frequently during the night and, when awake, is unable to recognise risk. During periods of sensory dysregulation, she may attempt to climb furniture, destroy her surroundings, injure herself on hard surfaces, or ingest unsafe items due to Pica. Even very short periods of unsupervised wakefulness place her at serious and immediate risk of harm. A conventional bed or standard bedroom environment cannot meet her safety needs.
To address this risk, Skyler requires a specialist Safespaces Bed. This enclosed sleep system is specifically designed for children with complex needs who are unsafe in conventional beds. Manufactured by Safespaces, the bed provides a fully enclosed, padded, and secure sleeping environment with appropriate ventilation and visibility for carers. It prevents wandering, climbing, and access to hazardous items while offering a calm, sensory-friendly space that supports improved sleep.
Provision of this specialist equipment will significantly improve Skyler’s safety and quality of life by reducing the risk of self-harm and accidental injury overnight, supporting better sleep, preventing nightly room destruction, and allowing her parent to rest without constant fear. It will also enable sustainable long-term care at home while preserving Skyler’s dignity and wellbeing.
The total cost of the Standard Safety Sleeper Bed is £8,968.06. We recognise this is a substantial sum and wish to emphasise that we are not seeking full funding from any single organisation. We are actively approaching Trusts and supporters and would be deeply grateful for a contribution of any size. Every grant awarded brings us closer to ensuring Skyler’s safety.

Nova Chat 8
Jamie is a bright 9-year-old with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a severe communication disorder. While he has complex thoughts, his speech is highly muddled, limiting his ability to interact, learn, and socialise, and affecting his mental health.
During a trial with a NovaChat 8 with Spelling, Jamie’s communication, motivation, and social engagement improved dramatically.
A permanent device, for use at home and school, would allow him to express himself, develop language skills, and gain confidence.
The device costs £4,560.
Any contribution would make a life-changing difference to Jamie, giving him a voice and greater independence.

Eyegaze System
We wish provide an Eyegaze communication system for Green Lane Community Special School in Woolston, Warrington.
Green Lane is a purpose-built SEN school with outstanding facilities and highly skilled staff who deliver individualised learning for pupils with sensory impairments, communication difficulties, learning disabilities, and complex medical conditions. The school’s mission is to help every pupil develop independence, achieve qualifications, and prepare for the next stage of life.
A hallmark of Green Lane is its “total communication environment.” Staff use Makaton, gesture, symbols, speech, and electronic aids to ensure every pupil can communicate. They work closely with Speech and Language Therapists and families to develop communication skills tailored to each child’s abilities and needs, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Eyegaze system would be transformative for pupils unable to communicate through traditional means. By tracking eye movements, it allows children to control a computer, generate speech, and interact with their surroundings. This enables them to express their needs, participate fully in lessons, and connect with teachers, peers, and family. For many children, the Eyegaze system provides a voice for the very first time, opening doors to independence, learning, and social interaction that would otherwise be out of reach.
The full cost of the system, including software, is £9,875. The Eyegazewll have a lasting impact on the children at Green Lane.

Mini 8 with WordPower®
Every week, we receive urgent appeals from social workers, therapists, hospitals, and families for children who cannot speak and need communication devices. One such device is the Via Mini 8 with WordPower®, a durable, electronic speech-generating aid that helps children communicate independently by initiating conversations, asking questions, and expressing their thoughts and feelings.
The Via Mini 8 is designed for accessibility, offering:
• Protective casing for long-term use
• Bluetooth amplifier and speakers for clear sound
• Multiple access methods, including touch, stylus, head-tracking, or switch scanning
• Flexible use as handheld, table stand, or wheelchair-mounted
We are seeking support to provide two devices for children in urgent need:
• Eden (7, autism): With a Via Mini 8, Eden can engage socially, develop language skills, and express needs and feelings, building confidence and a sense of belonging.
• Mary (9, cerebral palsy): Like 1 in 4 people with cerebral palsy, Mary cannot speak clearly. A Via Mini 8 would give her a voice, enabling her to connect with family, teachers, and peers.
Each system costs £2,205, totalling £4,410, theese will be life-changing for Eden and Mary.

Growing at Home: Horticulture for Every Child
This project will deliver Home Growing Horticultural Packages to at least 100 children across the UK who are either living with disabilities or growing up in poverty. These packages will enable children to engage directly with nature, learn about biodiversity, develop life skills, and enjoy the therapeutic and educational benefits of gardening—either in their gardens or indoors.
Children with disabilities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds often face restricted access to green spaces and nature-based learning. Many live in flats, supported housing, or areas with limited or no garden access. They also lack the tools or resources to engage in environmental education or therapeutic horticulture at home.
Gardening is widely recognised as a therapeutic, inclusive activity that promotes emotional wellbeing, cognitive development, and physical coordination—especially important for children with learning disabilities or sensory impairments
We aim to:
1. Enable 100 children to actively participate in home gardening regardless of space or mobility.
2. Improve children’s understanding of the environment, sustainability, and biodiversity.
3. Promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing through contact with nature.
4. Provide sensory and therapeutic benefits to children with disabilities.
5. Encourage family bonding and healthy living through growing vegetables and plants.
Each child will receive a tailored Home Growing Horticultural Package which includes:
• Indoor or outdoor growing trays or raised beds (based on the child's home environment)
• Safe, child-friendly gardening tools and gloves
• Gardening bags/tool carriers
• Wellington boots (where required)
• A selection of seeds (flowers, herbs, and/or vegetables)
• Propagators and compost/soil bags
• Froggy Watering Can
• A ready-made terrarium jar – a low-maintenance indoor mini-ecosystem
Children will also receive an easy-to-follow illustrated guide to help them grow and care for their plants.
The total funding required for this project is £10,099. therapeutic benefits. For those from low-income families, it offers a rare opportunity to grow food, develop responsibility, and build confidence. For all, it fosters a lifelong respect for the environment and encourages curiosity about the world around them.
We are confident this initiative will make a lasting impact, giving children practical tools to grow, learn, and thrive—whatever their personal challenges.

Hydrotherapy & Physiotherapy Sessions:
We have an ever-increasing list of children waiting for Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy sessions to help them recover from various ailments, we constantly, have over 30 children on our waiting list.
Hydrotherapy is ideal for people with disabilities who have limited mobility or movement in parts of their body, or who have undergone surgery and need rehabilitation. Hydrotherapy is also necessary for children with cerebral palsy, for its ability to improve muscle strength with freedom of movement, but not limited to children with specific conditions, it is a way of exercising with less stress on the joints, bones, and muscles as in the water the body is buoyant and does not have to support its own weight. The pool is also set to a warm temperature of around 32-34 degrees to increase circulation, relax the muscles and decreases swelling, help with muscle spasms, and reduce or remove pain, including arthritis pain.
Physiotherapists work with children and their families to identify movement and functional difficulties. They aim to help the child to manage their physical symptoms and achieve functional mobility. They assess, treat, and advise on exercises and activities which the child can do with their family and in school.
Each Hydrotherapy Session or Physio Session costs £90.00,
Our aim is to help as many of these children as possible.
To provide 6 sessions for 1 child costs £540.00, 6 sessions for 10 children costs £5,400.00.
Any help you could provide will be greatly received

Providing Respite & Holiday Breaks
A short break away is often key for the survival of family relationships during the roller-coaster ride of childhood illnesses, for this reason, we feel it is important to give families the quality time together that they need, away from hospitals, doctors, treatment, and stress.
Respite homes:
Our respite homes are situated at Haven's Golden Sands Holiday Park, Mablethorpe We can now provide respite breaks for between 90 and 100 families each year. Holiday Home:
Our holiday home is situated at Butlins in Skegness. Owning this home also allows us to offer children and their families from underprivileged or poverty-stricken backgrounds to have a holiday they simply could not afford.
We often assist families with food, travel expenses and spending money to assist during their break.
We believe it is imperative for children in their situation to have a short holiday break away from the stress and trauma of their day-to-day living. We also firmly believe it is very important for children in these conditions have a chance to build lasting memories.
